Timeline PhotosLenzie Station Improvement Project is nearing completion, with Kirkintilloch Road due to reopen to vehicles at 6pm tomorrow (Sunday 9 June).

A small section of Garngaber Avenue will then be closed at its junction with Kirkintilloch Road - for surfacing and lining works - from 6pm on Sunday 9 June until 6pm on Friday 14 June. Alternative routes will be signposted.

Heath Avenue will also close - for similar works - from 6am on Monday 10 June until 6pm on Friday 14 June.

Access will be maintained to properties within Heath Avenue - where practical to do so - and emergency services.

Please note, only emergency services will be able to access Heath Avenue between 9.30am and 2.30pm on Tuesday 11 June and Wednesday 12 June.

Temporary traffic lights - including pedestrian-crossing facilities as required - will be in use on Kirkintilloch Road at its junction with Heath Avenue when works are not taking place (potentially until 6pm on Friday 14 June).

Funding for the improvement project has been secured through planning gain from housebuilders involved in the Woodilee development, with additional support from SPT and Abellio ScotRail.

In addition, funding from Transport Scotland, through the Sustrans Community Links programme, has enabled improvements for people walking and cycling. ...
